Finnish data watchdog was supervisory authority in 106 of 591 cross-border cases in 2018

( May 17, 2019, 10:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Finland's Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman said it saw "explosive growth" in case numbers in 2018, when it opened 9,617 cases, compared with 3,957 the year before, the regulator said in its annual report for 2018, published today. Of those 2018 filings, it resolved 6,716 cases, and each case took an average of 38 days to process. In addition, Finland was the supervisory authority in 106 of 591 cross-border cases filed last year.Report attached....
