American Quarter Horse Association appeals lower court decision, says antitrust law does not apply

( December 26, 2013, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The American Quarter Horse Association has appealed to the Fifth Circuit to reverse a jury verdict finding that the AQHA could not enforce its ban on permitting cloned horses and their offspring onto its registry. The AQHA argues that antitrust law does not apply because there is no Quarter Horse submarket and AQHA neither participates in the market nor compels consumers to purchase only registered Quarter Horses. See document below....
