South Korean legislator proposes 'anti-Volkswagen law'

The amendment would also provide for penalties for automakers that sell cars that are not same as the ones used for testing. Previously, Audi Volkswagen Korea faced fines of 17.8 billion won ($16.1 million) for cheating emissions test results for 24 models, but it did not receive any penalty for eight models for which noise level tests were faked because there was no relevant law. Lee proposed fines worth 3 percent of related sales revenues. ...
