Facebook must provide information on data leak to users, Belgian watchdog says

( April 7, 2021, 14:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Belgian data protection authority said it has been in touch with the Irish Data Protection Commission following media reports that 530 million Facebook users were affected by a data leak. The Belgian regulator called on Facebook "to take responsibility and provide complete information as soon as possible." The authority said Facebook "needs to accurately inform its users about the exact impact of the leak, and what actions users can take." Users can file complaints at the authority if they believe their data was leaked.Press release follows....
