Second Circuit distinguishes recent Supreme Court ruling to uphold DACA documentation order

( December 27, 2017, 23:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: One week after the Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration in a similar case from California, the federal appeals court in New York upheld a lower court that wants more documentation before it reviews the Department of Homeland Security's decision to end a program deferring deportation for certain young undocumented immigrants. The Second Circuit's decision said the Supreme Court's ruling didn't apply to the New York case because it is narrower in scope and several threshold legal questions still pending in California have been resolved, which makes the New York case "significantly distinguishable."See document below....
