Edeka, Netto, Metro, others face German fines for price agreements

( May 9, 2016, 10:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The German competition authority has imposed further fines against retailers for illegal vertical agreements on prices for beer, coffee and candy. The total amount of fine is 90.5 million euros. Netto, Edeka, Metro, and A. Kempf Getränkegroßhandel were fined for their agreements with brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev. Lidl Stiftung was fined for vertical agreements on Haribo candy products. Dirk Rossmann received a fine for illegal agreements on Melitta coffee products.
