Facebook data breach draws Australian privacy scrutiny

( April 7, 2021, 06:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia's privacy regulator is conducting inquiries into a reported Facebook data breach that has led to scraped Facebook data containing 530 million records from 106 countries appearing online this month, a spokesperson has said. In response to a request for comment from MLex the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner spokesperson said the regulator is seeking to establish the extent to which the personal information of Australians may have been impacted.
