Google, Chrome 'Incognito' privacy plaintiffs in US battle over CEO records

( April 5, 2021, 22:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google and a group of plaintiffs who have sued over Google's alleged privacy violations in the "Incognito" mode of its Chrome browser are battling over whether the company needs to open the correspondence of Sundar Pichai, Alphabet's chief executive, who helped lead the development of Chrome over a decade ago. "Mr. Pichai offers unique, highly relevant, and non-duplicative discovery. Plaintiffs seek Mr. Pichai’s documents to show that Google intentionally built and then continued to use Incognito mode in a way that violates users’ privacy rights," the plaintiffs said. Google answered that the demands are "improper and unfairly burdensome." "How Incognito was built in 2008 has little bearing on how it operated during the Class Period of June 1, 2016 to the present," Google said.See attached document....
