By Laurel Henning ( January 24, 2023, 04:21 GMT | Insight) -- Microsoft’s planned $68.7 billion acquisition of video-game developer Activision Blizzard will face a delay of over two months in New Zealand, after the country’s competition regulator today scrapped a Feb. 3 announcement deadline. In an update to the New Zealand Commerce Commission’s dedicated timeline for its review of the global deal, the regulator pushed its announcement to April 28, two days after a final report is due from the UK’s competition regulator.
