Amazon moves to dismiss second amended US antitrust complaint over e-books

( January 23, 2023, 22:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amazon says consolidated and amended litigation accusing the company of using its monopoly power to raise the price of e-books still fails to allege a plausible market or show that Amazon wields monopoly power, in a motion to dismiss an accompanying memorandum filed at a US court. Attempts by the plaintiffs to allege a two-sided market amount to "little more than a collection of antitrust jargon and buzz words that does nothing to change the controlling facts or to overcome the Court’s previous bases for dismissal," Amazon said in the filing.Court documents attached....
