EU’s General Court reduces fines imposed on InnoLux, LG Display for their role in LCD panels cartel

( February 27, 2014, 09:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU’s General Court has cut fines against technology companies LG Display and InnoLux for taking part in cartel to fix the price of LCD panels. The court cut the fine against InnoLux to 288 million euros, from 300 million euros, and for LG Display to 210 million euros, from 215 million euros. The court said that the European Commission’s fine against InnoLux was too high because it was based on incorrect sales data provided by the company. For LG Display, the court reduced the fine because of a recalculation of the infringement’s duration.See the full statement below.
