US Senate confirms Jackson, Peirce as SEC commissioners

( December 22, 2017, 17:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Robert Jackson, a Democrat, and Hester Peirce, a Republican, were confirmed by the US Senate as members of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Joseph Borg, President of the North American Securities Administrator Association, said he looks forward to working with the new commissioners on a "shared goal" of protecting Main Street investors and the integrity of securities markets. Investment Adviser Association President Karen Barr said she is pleased the SEC will have a full, five-member commission for the first time in more than two years.Statement follows....
