CADE-Central Bank joint working group extended for 120 days

( December 22, 2017, 16:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A joint working group between the Brazilian competition authority and the Central Bank of Brazil to outline the roles each institution will have in merger reviews and antitrust cases involving the financial sector was extended for 120 days, according to a statement today. The new deadline will expire in April 2018. Additionally, Rodrigo Abreu Belon Fernandes from the legal team of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, was nominated to coordinate the antitrust team in the working group, replacing Amanda Athayde, who left CADE's Superintendence this month.OJ statement follows in Portuguese....
