Portuguese competition authority publishes report on electronic communications

( December 17, 2013, 09:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Portuguese competition authority has released a report on the competitive situation in the fixed line, mobile telephony and internet access markets in 2012, pointing out that prices for access speeds of between 8 and 12Mbps, and above 30Mbps, were below the EU average, whereas prices for speeds between 12 and 30 Mbps were above the European average price. Regarding wholesale prices, the regulator found a significant reduction of between 30 percent and 48 percent in call termination fees charged at various levels of network termination.
