Indonesian contractors fined for colluding on port construction project

( September 15, 2017, 04:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's Business Competition Supervisory Commission, or KPPU, has fined three companies a combined 3.8 billion rupiah ($287,182) for colluding in a tender to build facilities at the port of Selayar in South Sulawesi. The KPPU concluded that contractors Nokilalaki Sembada, Cahya Mentari Cemerlang and Karya Mandiri Jaya Pratama had colluded to create a false impression of competition to allow Karya Mandiri Jaya Pratama  to win the contract, which cost 61.2 billion rupiah.
