Judge dismisses Novation's antitrust complaint against JG Wentworth

( May 18, 2015, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Beverly Reid O’Connell granted JG Wentworth’s motion to dismiss Novation Ventures’ case accusing it of monopolizing the market for the structured settlement payment rights factoring business. O’Connell found that Novation failed to show that it sustained antitrust injuries. O’Connell said that JG Wentworth’s acquisition of Peachtree reduced competition equally for JG Wentworth and Novation, that the alleged harm to consumers did not harm Novation, and that Novation is still capable of bidding for slots below the top four on Google’s AdWords listings.
