FCA snubs request to disclose leaked report on RBS turnaround unit

( September 14, 2017, 23:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK Financial Conduct Authority has rejected a request from lawmakers to disclose a leaked report on alleged abuses by the debt-restructuring division of Royal Bank of Scotland at the height of the financial crisis. FCA Chief Executive Andrew Bailey said in a letter to the chair of Parliament's Treasury Committee that public interest is "not best served" by the publication of the report. He said a detailed summary will instead be published, alongside the regulator's decision on whether to start a formal investigation into the bank....
