China issues rules for network data security management, eases compliance burden

Taking effect Jan. 1, 2025, the regulations support implementing the country's Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and Personal Information Protection Law. They focus on prominent issues like personal information protection, important data security, cross-border network data flow, and network platform service providers' obligations, with improved institutional measures.
