Air Europa Líneas Aéreas fined EUR600,000 in Spain for GDPR breach

( March 18, 2021, 16:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spanish airline Air Europa Líneas Aéreas has been fined 600,000 euros by the national data protection authority for violating the GDPR. The company had failed to provide sufficient technical and organizational measures to ensure data security, which caused unauthorized disclosure and allowed access to information on customers, such as bank card number, expiration date and CVV code, the authority said.
