CaixaBank merger with Bankia approved by Spanish regulator, with conditions

To secure approval CaixaBank promised to maintain branches in municipalities where there are no other banks and to preserve Bankia's current terms and conditions for existing customers in those areas where it will enjoy a monopoly.
