Audit oversight plan would help US catch up to world, PCAOB member says

( December 4, 2013, 20:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Lewis Ferguson, a US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board member, said a proposal to make accounting firms disclose the names of partners who work on company audits would help the United States catch up with practices in the rest of the world. The European Union, Australia and United Kingdom require that the partner responsible for the audit sign the report, and the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board has proposed a standard similar to the one issued by the PCAOB Wednesday.See document below....
