ECB says industrywide capital demands will remain stable after stress test

( July 29, 2016, 21:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Eurozone banks withstood current stress tests better than they did previous tests, avoiding the need for across-the-board capital increases, the European Central Bank said. Of the 37 ECB-supervised banks in the EU exercise, only one — Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena — fell short of base capital requirements after three years under a hypothetical "adverse scenario."
