Malaysian companies adopting better anti-corruption frameworks, financial-markets regulator says

( October 8, 2020, 09:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An increasing number of Malaysian companies have adopted anti-corruption frameworks, the Securities Commission Malaysia said today in its annual Corporate Governance Monitor report. The financial markets regulator said that the number of companies that could be classified as having adopting "good' anti-corruption frameworks increased 13 percent. This observation, the regulator said, could be attributed to the new corporate-liability law on corruption, which came in to effect on June 1, and the requirement for all listed companies to establish anti-corruption and whistleblower policies, which was implemented in November last year. The full statement from the Securities Commission Malaysia follows and the document is attached below. ...
