French horticulture may benefit from national subsidies, EU says

( March 19, 2021, 12:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: France's horticulture industry may receive direct subsidies from the government, the European Commission said today, clearing a 25 million-euro national program designed to support the sector during the Covid-19 pandemic. The funding will benefit producers who experienced a revenue reduction of at least 30 percent between March 16 and May 10 last year compared with the same period in 2019, the commission said.
