US FTC staffers vote to join National Treasury Employees Union

( September 26, 2024, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Federal Trade Commission staff voted 415-25 in favor of exclusive representation by the National Treasury Employees Union, NTEU announced in a press release. The new chapter will represent "about 820 FTC employees in Washington D.C. and eight regional offices in New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle," NTEU said. “This thoughtful and energetic employee-driven organizing effort is a testament to the growing labor movement in this country, and NTEU is honored to assist the committed civil servants of the FTC as they exercise their collective bargaining rights,” NTEU National President Doreen Greenwald said....
