​Indian court looks into Xiaomi’s violation of injunction order

( February 6, 2015, 10:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An Indian court has accepted the request of Swedish telecom company Ericsson to appoint a local commissioner to look into Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi’s phone shipments to India, Ericsson said in a statement to MLex. Ericsson said Xiaomi phones that use the MediaTek chipset are imported and sold in India despite an earlier order that prohibits Xiaomi from selling, advertising, manufacturing or importing devices that infringed Ericsson’s standard-essential patents.
