Greek Competition Authority: Printing and publishing companies fined EUR 14.6 mln for various infringements

( August 7, 2009, 09:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Greek competition authority has imposed fines of approximately 14.6 million euros in total on printing and publishing companies Burlington, Oxford, Pearson, Hillside Press, Apollon, Efstathiadis Group and Boukouvalas. In its decision the authority found that the parties breached national competition law as well as Articles 81 and 82 of the EC Treaty by fixing the price for educational books and prohibiting passive sales, amongst other actions.
