Peru’s antitrust regulator to fine taxi drivers for price-fixing services to and from Chile

( April 18, 2016, 12:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Peru’s competition watchdog has started the process to sanction 35 Peruvian and Chilean “economic agents” — 34 individuals and the company Transporte Nacional e Internacional San Lorenzo — for colluding to fix prices. The 34 drivers and the company were allegedly engaged in operating taxi-share services transporting passengers between the border towns of Tacna in Peru and Arica in Chile between August 2009 and December 2013, according to a statement in Peru’s official state bulletin today.Official statement below in Spanish...
