Bauer Media radio acquisitions under in-depth probes, UK's CMA says

( August 7, 2019, 10:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bauer Media's acquisitions in the radio sector are under in-depth probes by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority after the deals raised competition concerns. The CMA has been reviewing Bauer Radio's purchases of Lincs FM Group, Celador Entertainment assets and UKRD Group, as well as Scala Radio's purchase of Wireless Group assets. The CMA previously said it has said it has concerns that customers for radio advertising could face higher prices and lower-quality service. In June, the CMA also notified the deals to the UK government's department for digital, culture, media and sport on public-interest grounds.Statement follows....
