Indonesian presidential advisory council supports competition regulator's need for stronger regulations

( March 26, 2024, 07:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, will coordinate with the Presidential Advisory Council to push for amendments to the 1999 Competition Law and a draft presidential regulation that would strengthen the regulator’s institutional structure as a law enforcer. In a meeting today, the council’s chairman, Wiranto, acknowledged the current limitations of the KPPU and the need for regulatory amendments.
