Netgear settles US patent infringement claims against China’s TP-Link, ITC stays proceedings

( September 10, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Netgear and TP-Link moved to dismiss with prejudice a patent infringement action in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, revealing in a joint order they have “resolved their disputes by agreement.” The filing comes less than one week after the US International Trade Commission stayed all procedural deadlines in a related investigation initiated by Netgear against the Chinese networking equipment maker last year.  An administrative law judge sided with Netgear, issuing an initial determination that TP-Link violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act with the importation of certain multi-band Wi-Fi devices, routers and mesh networking devices. In the California case, Netgear asserted infringement of just one patent, relating to a spectrum allocation system and method for multi-band wireless radiofrequency data communications.See document below....
