Russian finance company NSD should remain on EU sanctions list, EU court confirms

( September 11, 2024, 10:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU General Court confirmed today that Russian finance company NSD is correctly subject to EU restrictive measures due to its importance and contribution to the functioning of Russia's financial system. NSD's claims that it didn't play a significant role in Russia's financial system were dismissed by the fact that NSD "provides the Russian Government with quantitatively and qualitatively significant material or financial support, by enabling it in its financial resources with the aim of pursuing its actions to destabilize Ukraine," the Court said.Press release follows.
