( March 13, 2013, 23:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New patent litigation research by Colleen Chien, a law professor at Santa Clara University, found that 'Patent Assertion Entities' whose business model is based on using patents to extract license fees rather than to defend products, brought 62 percent of all patent litigations in 2012. Chien's research found that PAE defendants comprised 59 percent of all patent litigation defendants last year.Please see attached document...
