​Alstom FCPA defendant says late discovery production shows problems caused by delay

( August 2, 2019, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Former Alstom executive Lawrence Hoskins, facing trial in September on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act charges, said in support of his motion to dismiss that the US Justice Department produced 33,000 e-mails in July that his defense asked for four years ago, and this the late production of the evidence shows how delays in the prosecution have prejudiced the case against him. Hoskins has moved for dismissal of charges against him, arguing that the lengthy prosecution for crimes alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2004 has violated his right to a speedy trial.See documents (reply and letter) below....
