Judge partially grants Quest's motion for summary judgment in testing services antitrust case

( April 15, 2015, 18:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge William H. Orrick partially granted Quest Diagnostics' motion for summary judgment in its favor in a case accusing it of conspiring to limit competition in the market for routine, molecular and specialty testing services in California. Orrick denied the motion as to plaintiffs’ claims of harm, saying that there are material facts in dispute. Orrick granted the motion as to the rest of plaintiffs’ claims because “they are either time-barred by the settlement agreement that Hunter entered into with Quest in a prior case in 2011, or based on damages theories that plaintiffs have failed to show are more than speculation and guesswork.”See document below. ...
