While the European Commission has shown itself willing to look into the rebate practices of dominant companies, a ruling from the EU’s top court in Intel’s favor this September has likely put an extra hurdle in its path, making the TSMC case the first real test of a post-Intel world.Rumblings about an EU abuse-of-dominance complaint against Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the world’s largest semiconductor maker, surfaced last August (see here)....
