Newsmax asks FCC to refuse Sinclair-Tribune deal

( August 7, 2017, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Newsmax Media has registered its opposition to the proposed Sinclair-Tribune deal at the US Federal Communications Commission, filing a petition for the commission to block it. The FCC is attempting to make way for the deal "through regulatory sleight of hand," the company said, while questions related to media ownership rules remain unresolved.
