Insurance products should be offered separately, EU parliament committee votes

( January 23, 2014, 10:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Insurance brokers would be required to offer products separately, not just in bundles, under amendments backed by the European Parliament’s economic committee to a draft EU law on insurance sales. Salesmen must disclose potential conflicts of interest, such as their relationships with insurance companies, but the committee voted to let each country decide for itself whether brokers must disclose the commissions they earn on sales.The text of the statement follows....
