JFTC fines four auto-parts makers for price-fixing

( November 22, 2012, 00:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Japan Fair Trade Commission has fined four auto-parts companies a combined 3.39 million yen ($34,000). The companies were among a number that conspired in the procurement of certain auto parts ordered by auto companies, which restrained competition. This was in violation of Article 3 of the Antimonopoly Act. The JFTC initiated the investigation in July 2011 at around the same time as other competition authorities, including the United States Department of Justice.The full statement is attached....
