Lithuanian IT company fined for GDPR breach in Covid app development

( March 1, 2021, 13:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Lithuania's IT Sprendimai Sėkmei has been ordered to pay a 3,000-euro fine for breaching the General Data Protection Regulation, said the country's privacy regulator. The company, which developed Lithuania's Covid tracing app, failed to carry out a data protection impact assessment despite working with sensitive personal data, including medical information. Lithuania's Health Authority NVSC, which was fined separately, was considered jointly responsible.Statement follows (in Lithuanian)....
