KFTC releases statistical yearbook on 2015 casework

( July 11, 2016, 06:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Korea Fair Trade Commission has published its statistical yearbook on casework for 2015. The commission dealt with 4,367 cases last year, up 7.1 percent from 2014, when it processed 4,079 cases. The number of cases that drew sanctions stiffer than simple warnings was 2,661. The combined fines it imposed were worth 588.9 billion won ($513.2 million), a drop of 26.7 percent from 804.3 billion won in 2014. The commission filed lawsuits in 86 of 511 cases that prompted administrative measures. Final judicial decisions were made in 122 cases in 2015, with the KFTC winning 90 cases, partially winning 17 and losing 15. The regulator's statement, in Korean, is attached....
