Meta fails to get US antitrust complaint from advertisers dismissed by federal judge

( December 7, 2022, 01:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta must face US antitrust claims from a group of advertisers accusing the tech giant of unlawfully monopolizing the social networking market, causing them to pay inflated prices for advertising, with the California federal judge in the case denying Meta's motion to dismiss the amended complaint as time-barred. The "monopoly broth" theory that Meta violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act also plausibly alleges predatory and exclusionary conduct, and "Facebook’s contentions to the contrary raise factual disputes that are not amenable to resolution in a motion to dismiss," Judge James Donato ruled.Court document attached....
