Hapvida-Plamed deal cleared in Brazil conditioned on divestitures in healthcare plan market in Sergipe state

( February 24, 2021, 18:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Health insurer Hapvida’s planned acquisition of Plamed’s customer portfolio was approved conditioned on the sale of Plamed's client portfolios of individual or family medical-hospital healthcare plans and of collective medical-hospital healthcare plans in Aracajú city in Sergipe state, according to a statement. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, also imposed behavioral remedies on the parties, including maintaining Hapvida's prices for individual or family medical-hospital healthcare plans in Aracajú for two years.CADE press release follows in Portuguese....
