Businesses closer to having to accept EU’s digital ID, wallet after eIDAS regulation wins parliament vote

The eIDAS 2.0 regulation has been passed by European lawmakers in a plenary vote today. By 2026, each member state must prepare to make a Digital Identity Wallet for its people and by 2027 accept any member state-issued wallet for public services....
