Surescript's third-party subpoena in FTC lawsuit overbroad, competitor Weno Exchange says

( August 19, 2020, 23:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: As pharmacy technology company Surescripts defends itself against an antitrust case brought by the US Federal Trade Commission, it subpoenaed its competitor, Texas-based Weno Exchange. Now Weno is seeking to quash the subpoena, calling it "overbroad." The 12-year period covered by the subpoena is too long, and "it seeks an overwhelming amount of proprietary commercial business information related to WENO's cost, pricing, business plans, strategy and other information that is highly confidential and sensitive and would afford anyone with access to such information a competitive business advantage," Weno said.
