NCAA must allow student-athlete compensation above full cost-of-attendance

( March 9, 2019, 01:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Following a two-week antitrust trial last fall, the National Collegiate Athletic Association must allow its student athletes to receive education-related compensation above the scholarships and other payments that cover the full cost of attending school. US District Judge Claudia Wilken issued a permanent injunction today blocking student-athlete payment caps at the value of athletic scholarships. Under the injunction, individual athletic conferences are able to set caps on education-related expenses, but are barred from setting the caps in agreement with other conferences.See document below...
