Tetra Pak gets approval for Binding Corporate Rules from Swedish data-protection watchdog

( August 19, 2020, 09:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tetra Pak has received approval from the Swedish Data Protection Authority for its Binding Corporate Rules. These clauses are contractual commitments between Tetra Pak group companies that bind them to protect the privacy and security of personal data in European Economic Area, which includes the 27 EU nations and Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. The Swedish regulator said the purpose of the BCR is to make it easier for groups to transfer personal data to group companies outside the EU. The European Data Protection Board said in an opinion on the Tetra Pak BCR that it doesn't have any concerns that need to be addressed and the decision can be adopted as it is.Statement is below.
