Bitcoin platform founder faces SEC fraud claims, federal criminal charges

( June 30, 2017, 19:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission  filed fraud claims Friday against Renwick Haddow, the founder of a purported Bitcoin platform and a chain of coworking spaces, alleging that the UK citizen living in New York had bilked investors in both companies. The SEC alleges Haddow created a broker-dealer and did not register the firm with the agency as required under the federal securities laws. In a parallel action, the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York  announced criminal charges against Haddow. SEC Files Fraud Charges in Bitcoin and Office Space Investment Schemes...
