Western Digital calls for arbitration in Toshiba dispute

( June 30, 2017, 06:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Western Digital has issued a statement in response to Toshiba's lawsuit against it saying that the ongoing dispute regarding Toshiba's planned sale of its semiconductor business should be resolved through arbitration with the International Chamber of Commerce's International Court of Arbitration. The US company said, however, that it couldn't comment on the specific claims made by Toshiba because it had not yet received any legal filings. Toshiba said on June 28 that it had filed a lawsuit against Western Digital for interfering with the sale of its semiconductor business. Western Digital, which has joint-venture chip operations with Toshiba, said in its latest statement that it was "strongly focused on the success" of the joint operations.The statement is attached. ...
