US Commerce finding on Indonesian palm oil biodiesel partly remanded by US Court of International Trade

( August 12, 2020, 16:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia subsidizes palm oil-based biodiesel exports, the US Court of International Trade ruled, saying that the US Commerce Department's determination of the subsidies, and subsequent imposition of tariffs, was valid. The CIT said that Indonesia provides subsidies by allocating money to the country's Biodiesel Subsidy Fund and by giving low-cost product to exporters to compensate for a 2015 export levy. However, the CIT said Commerce erred in finding that compensation for a 1994 levy was a subsidy and remanded the case back to the agency for that issue. Please see attached order....
